More than just a house
This house has a long story… It was built in 1972 by Belgians and, therefore, was one of the first houses to see the light in the retreated urbanization of the Rancho de la Luz. The owners named it « hacienda La Paz », which means house of peace.
In the 80’s, my father started a new life project in the neighborhood. He bought this house in 1992 when it was for sale, because it is adjacent his property. At that moment, my husband and I decided to refurbish and enlarge it, we have been living there « in peace » with our son during a few years. It is also in this house that our daughter was born, she
bears the lovely name Prune, which gave her grandfather the idea to rename the house.
Her grandfather left us at the end of 2010 and the family came back here to take care of his land on the agricultural level and the real estate. We have entirely renovated “La
Ciruela” in 2013 and have started to offer it for rentals in 2015. It took quite a while and was done in several steps; this beautiful house really needed a complete lifting.
Furthermore, we are trying to make improvements every year, based on what our hosts are suggesting.
We do everything for guests to feel at home, and, above all, that they have a wonderful holiday; relax, have fun while taking good care of this place because it’s Prune’s house.
